Counting down to Denver

By endodoc79

Right now there is no nominee. The start of the Democratic convention in Denver is 38 days away. Neither candidate has the 2117.5 delegate votes needed to win the nomination on the first ballot. Therefore it will go to a second ballot where the superdelegates will finally have a chance to vote. Until then they can declare, undeclare, remain uncommitted- it doesn’t much matter. A convention vote should not need to be negotiated under a democratic system. If you have a plutocracy like we are seeing under the cowardly stewardship of Howard Dean, proper procedure, rules and precedent don’t apply. There will be a large price to pay if proper procedures are not followed and superdelegates are not allowed to vote for the person most likely to garner the 270 Electoral College votes to win in November. We know along with Ricki Lieberman of Electability Watch and millions of others that Hillary Rodham Clinton is the only Democrat that can win against John McCain in November. Our job at Electability Watch is to remind the delegates that Hillary is the one who can win.

To sign up for Electability Watch and start writing superdelegates why you feel Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is the best candidate to become president on January 20, 2009 please email Ricki Lieberman at rrlieberma@gmail.com and request your 18 superdelegates.
